History

GSK1, a Standard All-Weather drophead, was completed by the factory on 30-10-25, and delievered to Young's of Bromley to have to coachwork fitted. It was delivered to it's first owner, Mr Arthur Gibbs, 2 Tokenhouse Buildings, London EC2 on 24-2-26. It changed hands to Col Hugh Knothe, West Dene, Pendennis Road, Streatham, London SW, on 28-8-32, and again to Major Charles Micklem, DSO, Longcross house, Longcross, Surrey on 8-11-32 (my grandfather), where it was kept until his death in the 1960s.

At some point in the late 40s, Major Micklem decided it needed to be more 'useful' and broke my mother's heart by exchanging the rakish drophead body for that of a heavy shooting brake:

It was subsequently owned by a member of Rolls-Royce Enthusiast's Club until 1994, but it's present location is unknown.

Any information as to its current whereabouts would be gratefully received.
