This is one of 48 RHD Mulliner Park Ward coachbuilt Drophead Coupes, derived from Vilhelm Koren“s design known or the "Chinese Eyes" Headlamps. It was developed for the Bentley Continentals S II Chassis and modified to appear in Rolls Royce guise as Silver Cloud III. According to the RR History Book it should have been delivered through HR. Owen to Roy Boulting, elder brother of the two British film directors and producers, who gained success in renewing British Comedy at the beginning 60ies. They gave Peter Sellers the opportunity to gain larger attention in several of their films, who also owned the same model.
I would be interested in recollecting the further history of the car, so please be encouraged for hints and comments
Later on in the 80ies beared the registration numbers FYX 131 C and owned by a Brian Joan E Auger - probably the musician, before it received registration PPP 1 and was owned by A. Nissin. It was converted KYY 108 C and became property of Charles Denton and Musician Jools Holland .
The car is finished in Masons Black with Black Coachwork - probably the most sought after configuration of this model. As specified in the History Book it has no climatisation an no electric window levers - both available at extra cost at this time. It still has two combined indicator/parking lights on the front wings, white wall tyres and electric aerial.
The car is in goo condition throughot and has only 35.000 mls on the clock.
