History

This chassis was fitted with Barker Cabriolet de Ville body as Barker was the favourite Couchmaker of Nawab of Bahawalpur. This car was ordered by H.H Nawab of Bahwalpur in June 1924 and was shipped to Karachi from London on the 24th January 1925. This Rolls Royce Silver Ghost was fitted with nickel plated instrument board.

This car has a historical value as it is the same car which was used by the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Mohommad Ali Jinnah and Lord Mount Batten on independence of Pakistan on 14th -August-1947 from Governor House Karachi to Sindh Assembly for the oath taking ceremony as the first Governor General of Pakistan.

The car was locked in the garage of Nawab of Bahwalpur's Palace in Dera Nawab for the last forty years, the car was sitting on the bricks untill the car was bought by the grandson of the Nawab of Bahwalpur Sahibzada Omar Abbasi and was sold by him to Mr Karim Chhapra in 2004.It was restored to its original glory which took one and a half year of restoration work.

The car has only done 8895 miles on the meter. The car is not for sale.
